I took a bunch of pictures with my new camera, too many for one post. so...i'll divide this up into a bunch of posts. One of those posts will discuss the 2019 Historicon Painting Competition sponsored by Wargames Illustrated.
Ok, first post - Some amazing boards, starting with a recreation of the Battle of Hoth. Not sure what ruleset they were using, but the board was awesome.
(click any of the pictures to zoom in, or possibly save original to desktop then really zoom in)
Next, a really cool 6mm Samurai game, using Baccus miniatures.
Then, Carnage and Glory.
Ah...Carnage and Glory. The game where the computer does everything...
The games always look nice...
Here's some players, waiting for the results of the computer.
Pretty sure they haven't rolled any dice or moved any figs.
"...effective bombardment..." |
Pretty sure nothing has changed.
Carnage and glory - where the figures don't move, and neither do the players |
But hey, figs looked really nice!
Ok, then there was this amazing game refighting Pearl Harbor. The board was so small and incredibly detailed. It was almost like playing on a scale model instead of a miniature wargaming table.
...last group of pictures for this page..a really great looking Zombie game.
The attention to detail made the board feel real.
i would have loved to play on this board! Gives me great ideas for my IHMN games. Lots of little bits of scatter terrain helps so much.
Stay tuned for the next group of pictures!
