Here's a list of models and/or units that I would feel immense "regret" if I never painted them. Slightly different than my original list of Projects of Shame. (I will note that the Projects of Shame idea served as a really great motivator; almost everything on that list has been completed!)
This is really a recognition that I'll never paint everything in the pile (especially with the slowly deteriorating eyesight and brush control!), but there are some items that 14yr old-me would be really sad to find out that he'd never paint them.
So, using my Empire Inventory and Dwarf Inventory as a guide, here's my list. I'll periodically update this list as I find or remember other models. You'll see that all of these are Warhammer-related. I came into the hobby as a purely Warhammer hobbyist and did not expand into other gaming until my best friend Le Coq Fou brought me to Historicon back in the early 2000s.

It's a great list. Hopefully you can begin shaving down the amount of regret and lightening the lead pile. The silver lining is that some of these are individual sculpts or small units, so it may not take much time and effort to see meaningful progress.
