A few weeks ago we fought an enormous Warhammer 40K battle using the Apocalypse rules supplement. It was roughly 7,000pts on each side, with the Imperial Guard and Blood Angels defending against a duel attack from Chaos Space Marines and Tau.
We also through in a little wildcard midway through the game with a small force of Orks arriving to cause general mayhem for a few turns.
It was great. Roughly 12 hours of 40K.
